ALIEN!
They’ve been showing this on HBO like gangbusters lately, and let me tell ya’, folks, it is still friggin’ incredible. Been seriously amped for Prometheus as of late, so I figured I’d see where y’all stood on the matter.
And who am I kidding, Aliens is friggin’ incredible, too.
Game over, man. Game over.
RESULTS:
– Alien: 12 votes
– Aliens: 10 votes
– “AVP!!!”: 1 vote
– “AVP (LOL/JK)”: 1 vote (agreed)
– E.T.: 1 vote (taking some liberties with the poll there)
– “Does the spoof they do in Spaceballs count?”: 1 vote (why the hell not?)
Still haven’t seen the other two direct Alien sequels. Worth checking out, or shall I continue to live my life?

Tough to call it between Alien and Aliens because they are very different “feeling” movies
Indeed they are. Amazing how well they’ve both held up though.
YES. Sometimes I feel in the minority on this one, but I’m glad Alien won out. Both are definitely great, though.
Agreed. Alien is so effing good. The sheer vision and amount of detail in that movie is mind-boggling. And what’s not to love about a movie that was pitched as “JAWS in space.”?
I say bring on Prometheus 🙂

By the way, don’t expect Prometheus to match Alien. They’re very different films. (Spoiler I guess? I don’t know.)
I’m hearing a lot of disappointment around the interwebs right now. Expectations have been dropping.
They’re probably too high, but I did like the movie very, very much.

Yeah, its the best. Hence PROMETHEUS is more ALIEN than it is ALIENS. Which, in my opinion, is a damn good thing.
Definitely looks more Alien than Aliens, and I agree, that is a good thing, not that I don’t like Aliens or anything. Apples and oranges really.
