Yeah, not the most cutthroat poll I’ve ever had around these parts, but hey, it’s not every day we get a royal wedding on our hands. So congrats to The King’s Speech, congrats to Bill & Kat, and congrats to you, voters. I am so very, very proud of you.

Not surprising results on this poll.
For Horror from this past decade I’m gonna go with The Descent with The Orphanage in close second and Paranormal Activity right on the heels of that title.
Yeah, thought The Queen would get some more love though.
And I’m right there with ya’ on The Descent and The Orphanage. Would probably go for The Orphanage since that’s one of the few movies that I legitimately lost sleep over, but, man, The Descent seriously took claustrophobia to a whole new level. Some good ones up there, man.
A man for All Seasons…does it fall into this category..
You bet it does. Never seen it actually, but heard good things. Should probably check that out one of these days.
I believe in the process of democracy, but that doesn’t mean I agree with the result of a poll/election. I’d still maintain that Queen was head & shoulders above The King’s Speech. 🙂

This is obviously colored by what people saw last and enjoyed.
I saw THE YOUNG VICTORIA – it was actually not bad. Emily Blunt gave a good performance. Nothing to write home about – but a decent way to kill two hours.
Agreed. I’d probably go with The Queen, or Monty Python if I had thought of it. Yeah, I heard Blunt was pretty good, but that’s about it. Not enough to actually get me to see it. But maybe some day…
The King’s Speech – great choice. I’m surprised The Queen got a single vote – awful film (but that’s my anti-monarchy sentiments coming out).

I think much more highly of The Queen than it seems most others here do, but The King’s Speech is a worthy enough victor. Meaning that it’s really damn good. I think I actually liked The Madness of King George a bit more, but really we’re talking apples and oranges there.
Still haven’t seen Madness of King George, but I’ve heard swell stuff. One of these days…
