And the best Breaking Bad character is…
MIKE EHRMANTRAUT!
Yes, that is actually his last name.
Gotta say I’m partial to Gus and Saul, but that Mike is a badass and it’s about damn time Jonathan Banks got his due after all these years of character acting. Swell voting, gang.
And apologies to anyone who was jonesing for a movie poll these past two weeks, but after plowing through the first four seasons at superhuman speed this past month, it just had to be Breaking Bad. Seriously, if you haven’t watched Breaking Bad, watch Breaking Bad. You’re welcome.
RESULTS:
– Mike: 12 votes
– Jesse: 8 votes
– Gus: 6 votes
– Walt: 6 votes
– Saul: 5 votes
– Tuco: 3 votes
– Tio: 2 dings
– “Flynn”: 2 votes
– Hank: 2 votes
– Skinny Pete: 1 vote
– Badger: 1 vote
– Skyler: 1 vote
– Marie: 0 votes (agreed)
– The Cousins: 0 votes
Now, please don’t spoil anything for me in the comments section, folks. Still haven’t seen Season 5 yet, and knowing this show, some crazy crap may very well have happened since I last tuned in.
Gotta love Mike. I ran the same poll a couple months back, and it had the same result (though with far less votes). He’s my top pick.
But man, you need to get on season five ASAP! Until you do, you’re probably going to be dodging spoilers left and right. Major happenings, yo.
Hahaha. I know, I know. I swear I’ll get on it. Too damn caught up in Mad Men right now, but I’ll gladly put that on hold for the time being.
But why do I feel like the only one who thinks Saul is freaking awesome? Gus is a close second though.
Nah, you’re not alone on that. Big fan of both those guys. They are right up there with Mike, in my opinion.
I can see and feel the love for Mike – completely understandable. Though my love for our main two in Walt and Jesse is unquestionably more.
I love the complexities and depth to all the characters in BB, they’ve been built up so well. I’d agree with the top 4, though maybe in a different order, followed by Hank in 5th – Dean Norris does a great job in his portrayal. Saul annoys me sometimes, but provides a healthy injection of humour now and then that I enjoy.
You’ve got to get onto seeing season five – as each season/episode has gone on, I just feel like it has gotten better and better. You won’t be disappointed with it.
Hmmm I do love Mike but I’m surprised by these results
YEESSSSSSS.
So disappointed right now that you don’t read French (well I suppose you don’t). Cause I wrote an article about how I don’t like Breaking Bad. Since you’re not a Family Guy fan, I guess we’re meant to be movie buddies but not tv buddies. 😉
Hahaha. Did you mean “NOOOOOOOOO.?”
Yeah, sounds like we are striking out on the TV front. Thank god for the movies! Speaking of Family Guy, did you ever get around to seeing Ted?
I watched all seasons of Breaking Bad, thanks to my boyfriend, and Mike is by far my favorite character. He and I are seeing eye to eye on a couple of points. 😉
And yes I saw Ted. I had a really good time, except I thought the end was really cheesy (like, we expected it to be cheesy, but then they went overboard). But still pretty entertaining.
Way to be an awesome girlfriend! But by the same token, hard to see why anyone wouldn’t get sucked into this show.
Was very much on the fence about seeing Ted due to my disdain for Family Guy, but might just have to give it a go, especially with Seth McFarlane hosting the Oscars next year.
Don’t know where the show is going in it’s final eight episodes, but I want to go ahead and call it the best television show anyway. Short of Deadwood, The Wire and Homicide, I wouldn’t know what else it would compete with.
Hot damn, son! I still need to watch Deadwood, The Wire and Homicide (among many others), but that is some high praise. Still, what a freaking great show. Still pretty astounded at how they weaved Seasons 2-4 together so perfectly.
DING!
