And the best Beatles album is…

July 30, 2012

ABBEY ROAD!

You Never Give Me Your Money,” “Come Together,” She Came in Through the Bathroom Window,” “Golden Slumbers,” “Carry That Weight,” “The End.” – what a great album. Good voting, folks.

And apologies for dragging this thing out for a month and change. Just moved from The Big Apple to Vermont, and as much as I’m digging the The Green Mountain State, moving is no picnic. But now that I’m settled, the reviews shall return.

That’s my story, thanks for bearing with me.

This was a hard one to vote for because I know most songs as just “Beatles” songs, and don’t associate any of them with a specific album. The only reason I picked Abbey Road is because the medley is my second favorite song(s) and I know it’s from that album.

Hell of a good reason to pick Abbey Road. Easy to justify that as one whole song instead of three, also an easy argument to make for that being the best Beatles “song” of all-time. And I hear ya’, it wasn’t until Junior/Senior year that I really started listening to the albums themselves and could rank them accordingly. Sgt. Pepper’s is close if only for it being the first Beatles album I ever got, but these days, Let it Be has been my #1 for a while.

Sorry but I still reckon Sgt Peppers was the best.

Won’t argue that. Any argument against that claim can be very easily countered with “‘A Day in the Life,’ THE END.”
