And the most unnecessary remake/reboot of 2012 is…
Has anyone seen this yet? Is it as awful as it sounds? It sounds pretty awful.
Either way, scrapin’ the bottom of the barrel here, folks. Can’t wait to see what Hollywood’s got in store for us next year.

– “They really are remaking Judge Dredd, Total Recall, and Red Dawn?”: 1 vote (preachin’ the choir, man)
So much better.
Aww, I’m going to see this tomorrow! Way to ruin the fun! 😉 Actually, I’m a halfway die hard Stooges fan, so even if this is horrible, I probably won’t call it unnecessary. I’d vote either Red Dawn because no one in their right mind would even think of redoing a P.O.S. like that. Maybe LOL because it has Miley, but that’s beside the point. Didn’t know Dark Shadows and Sparkle were remakes/reboot.
Hahaha. Sorry, man. How did it end up?
Agree with you on Red Dawn as I feel like one of the few people who think that movie is wildly overrated and totally ridiculous, and as for LOL, anything with Miley in it is not worth supporting.
My review will be up within an hour or two, so stay tuned:

Right on.
I am still shocked they remade Spider-man. I mean, I think everyone understands why the Hulk was needed. But the spider man series was good, number 3 was a bit camp but not a disaster. I suppose they just wanna fit him in with avengers 2?
Me too, man. My theory is that Marvel just wanted to have all their heroes be on the big screen this year, and since Spidey didn’t make the Avengers cut, why not give him a reboot? Really weird though, would rather have Raimi redeem himself with Spidey 4 than have them start from scratch so soon after.
I’ve heard rumours he’s in Avengers for a cameo… kinda like wolverine in xmen first class. Set up for number 2. Not sure how true that is, but i guess ill find out this weekend. I remember a few years back there was talk of a venom movie, that would have been good 🙂
That would have been sweet. What would have been sweeter is if Thomas Haden Church had played Venom in Spidey 3, Sandman had been written out entirely, and someone had tapped Raimi on the shoulder to inform him that no one wants to see an emo Peter Parker. I think the man’s learned from his mistakes though.
i LOVE Will Sasso from Mad TV!! He did Kenny Rogers and Steven Segal so good! Hilarious!
Not much of a Mad TV fan, but Sasso was definitely one of the saving graces.
Ok now people need to leave spiderman 3 alone, now i know there were moments that made you want to throw up when they had kids saying things like “wicked cool” n stuff but people gotta understand that as good as the second one was by this time spidey had grown a huge kid based audience. So of course they would include cheesy like disney moments that made you want to puke but would you see it that way from a parents stand point? As far as the rest of the film went story line wise the drama was spot on with the exception of the weak ending. An ending im assuming wouldnt have mattered had they released part 4. But now we have a reboot and im actually interested in seeing the twist to this film considering we get to see what happened with his parents not to mention they seemed to have removed the colorful nature of the first three. so i say give it a chance or else chances are we wont see another one for a very long time. As far as the three stooges went i think that was a disgraceful movie, they should have put a far more bigger budget into an iconic concept like that. Not to mention I’m not much of a farrely brothers fan -,o
Idk, man. The audience doesn’t justify throwing in that emo spidey nightclub scene. I mean, look at Harry Potter, that series only got darker and that always had a huge kid audience. It wasn’t so much that Spidey 3 was toned down from Spidey 2 or anything, it was just a muddled film with too much going on. Will still be seeing the reboot, but it’s definitely unnecessary considering that Spidey 3 came out just five years ago.
It’s been a while since I liked a Farrelly Bros. movie, and I agree, sad to see it was just going by the “let’s put them in present day!” formula instead of trying something different. Absolutely no reason for The Three Stooges to be hanging out with the cast of The Jersey Shore.
Well harry potter had to grow up with its audience so it made sense that they would make the series more serious. As far as the night club scene i mean of course it was a little out there but spiderman’s best attribute was trying to maintain realism into its movies. So the club scene was suitable for a conflicted spider carnage in the real world, lol.
Haha. I don’t know, man. I think you’re fighting a losing battle getting behind emo Spidey. Infinite number of ways his conflict with the symbiote could have been interpreted.
True but to each its own right buddy, like i said before people like what they like
Well said, my man. Agree 100%.
