And the most unnecessary sequel of 2012 is…
Because there was so much left unsaid…
Serenity now, folks. Serenity now.

I wanted to say “all of these”, but I felt like that was cheating. That said, I can’t remember what I voted for. Basically, there aren’t any winners or losers here; everything on this list boggles my mind. (Save for the new Bourne movie, which I think could end up being legitimately good.)
Agreed, even though I am interested in Bourne, Piranha, and MIB (that first one is still so good).
Some of these haven’t even come out yet. How can you vote on something you haven’t seen?
Isn’t so much a measure of whether the movies are (or are going to be) good or bad, more a measure of which movie’s existence is least-warranted yet still being made. Apologies if that was unclear, will have a “Best/Worst Sequel” poll later this year to make up for it 🙂
” Resident Evil: Retribution: 1 vote (no idea how that only got one vote)” I know right?! LOL classic!
And it’s the fifth one in the series. Boggles the mind.
And people will actually go see it and call it AWESOME or EPIC… THAT is mind boggling too. I just stare at them like 0.o and giggle at the entertainment of their enthusiasm.
Preaching to the choir, man. Serenity now.
It doesn’t look to be letting up in 2013 either which is sad.
Unless people stop paying to see these movies, I don’t think it’ll ever let up, unfortunately.
Lol, Step up revolution Sucks man, This reminds me of bring it on and all the sequels they made. Of course i only know this through commercials but hey i aint gonna lie i used to love watching the one with haden pennetiere (If i spelled that right) But was Ghost Rider that bad? I hope not -,o

And the poster to this step up movie didn’t help, lol -,o
I heard Ghost Rider was ROUGH, man. Which totally sucks, because I thought the trailer was surprisingly awesome. Whatchagonnado?
And you’re preaching to the choir with Step Up. How on Earth did they squeeze three sequels out of that?
i don’t know but we must ask the powers that be about how they did that. As far as ghost rider goes i am disappointed about that one 4 real, makes me not even want to try and see it but then again i have liked movies other people have not liked before -,o
Yeah, I’ll probably check it out once it’s on Netflix, but not getting my hopes up.
I don’t blame you, I’m with you on that but i gotta give nick cage props for doing it again for the fans cause you know he don’t be doing BS movies but i think that one was by popular demand
Haha. Idk, man. If you ask me, Nic Cage will do just about anything these days if someone so much as suggests it.
yeah cause of his financial issues, i know this but it doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a keen eye for quality
Good point. That guy is deep in the hole these days.

Add your thoughts here… (optional)
It’s funny. I’d heard all of these movies were in production, but to see them in a handy little list like that… Yikes.
A lot of them are really unnecessary. But if I distinguish between “this sequel is guaranteed to suck” and “this sequel is genuinely unnecessary,” and factor in how little direction there is for the story to take, how little interest there actually is in it, how many bafflingly terrible decisions have already been made in its production, and yes, how good it’s likely to be…
There is no doubt in my mind this is “Taken 2.”
Hahaha. I know, man. Tragic.
Unless Liam Neeson is the one who gets kidnapped and it’s up to his daughter to go save him, there is no need for that movie whatsoever. Serenity now.
