Horrible Bosses (2011)

July 11, 2011

VERDICT:
6/10 Severance Packages

So close to making first-degree murder hilarious.

Had a great premise going for it and some great performances from some unlikely A-listers, but just didn’t get me laughing as much as I thought it would. Crowd seemed to have themselves a time though, maybe my good buddy Fred and I were in the minority on this one.

Anywho, hit the first jump for the full review, and while you’re at it, go right ahead and hit up that second jump to see me interviewing Bateman, Sudeikis and Day. Never done one of these things before, was a total bag of nerves, but it was a trip alright. And for the record, Jason Bateman is a totally sweet dude.

I thought this was pretty damn hilarious. Bateman, Day and Sudeikis had really great chemistry. I did wish it would have gotten a bit darker at times but overall, pretty solid I thought.

Yeah, the chemistry was definitely on with those three, but idk, just wasn’t laughing as much as I thought I would be. Also thought it was kind of disappointing that the best scene of the whole damn movie is Jamie Foxx talking about Snow Falling on Cedars.

This one was funny, just had so much more potential than other comedies than I’ve seen in quite some time. But thankfully, the cast takes this one in the right direction. Good Review Aiden! Glad you got to meet these guys too, they seem so cool.

Thanks! And, yeah, they were sweet dudes. That Jason Bateman is all class.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this was a little flat. Like you said, the chemistry was there, I just didn’t laugh out loud much.

Amen, brotha’. Kinda surprised we’re in the minority on this one.

Lots of mixed reviews for this one. I dig the cast so I will be checking it out, but at least I won’t go in with high expectations.

That’s pretty sweet that you got to interview those guys. Good job!

Yeah, the cast definitely has its bright points and their chemistry is solid, just had the potential to be so much better instead of just resorting to random shit way too often. Anyway, hope you dig it and thanks for compliment. Those dudes were sweet.

Can’t wait to see this…mainly for Charlie Kelly and Bateman.

Was surprised with this one, very well written and edited film.

Drop that knowledge!
