And the best Kill Bill is…
May 14, 2011
Still one of the Top Three greatest movie-going experiences of my life, so I’ll give it to you in that regard. But what can I say, I’m a sucker for Volume 2. That fight between The Bride and Daryl Hannah in Budd’s trailer home really was better than any scene from Vol. 1. Then again, I effing loved that anime cutscene about O-Ren. Geez, I need to watch these two again. Both are awesome either way, so swell voting, y’all.

I can’t help but like the 2nd Volume more. It’s got the Clark Kent speech.
Yeah, the Clark Kent speech is a big selling point to Volume 2.
Man this is a tough call. I just wrote a massive piece on trying to make this decision myself. I ended up going with VOLUME 1 in the end just because it feels more unique. I love all of Tarantino’s films, but with VOLUME 1 he offered us something we’d never seen before. VOLUME 2 on the other hand is a lot closer to the rest of his work – a lot more dialogue heavy. Not that there’s anything wrong with that (like Fitz, I dig the Clark Kent speech), but I just love the frenetic, colourful action of VOLUME 1.
Yeah, they really are pretty different in tone and they both totally work to their strengths. Had way more fun seeing Volume 1 in theaters, but idk, when Volume 2 was on, it was no joke. Still, a win-win situation any side you choose with this one.
Meh, I was partial to Volume 2 myself.
Word up.
Kill Bill Vol. 1 was way better in my opinion, the second one felt a bit more disparate. I didn’t like that about it. Plus I felt it was overlong. Love that bit at the end when she lies on the floor looking at the ceiling saying thank you. That was pretty cool.
Yeah, Vol. 2 definitely didn’t go by in a flash like Vol. 1 did. I hear ya, brother. Also dug that scene with her kid.
Choosing one or the other is like “Sophie’s Choice” for me.
Haha. I know, man. Tough call.
Aaaw Yea! A Great work by tarantino!
