And the best Spaghetti Western is…

March 26, 2011

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY!

Shit, I need to watch these again. I own these movies, what the hell is taking me?

Anyway, despite the crushing lack of love for Once Upon a Time in the West, hard to knock this as the winner. So way to vote, gang.

I love you.

RESULTS:
The Good, The Bad and the Ugly: 19 votes (damn, yo)
Once Upon a Time in the West: 4 votes (would have been my vote)
A Fistful of Dollars: 3 votes
For a Few Dollars More: 2 votes
Duck, You Sucker!: 1 vote (probably wins for best title)
– Other: 1 vote for Django (never heard of it, but anything that pits cowboys against the KKK sounds awesome to me).

Clint, man. What a badass. Same goes for Eli Wallach.

Not a surprise. It’s the more well known of the bunch and also one of the most well regarded. I need to watch both again, but I like Once Upon a Time in the West almost as much.

Yeah, both unreal movies, but I lean more towards Once Upon a Time in the West. Still, right there with ya’ in that I really need to revisit both.

Might as well have titled the poll “best leone westerns.”

My vote would have probably went to Once Upon a Time in the West as well, just GBU is just as good too.

I would have voted for Once Upon a Time in the West too, but even though the Leone films probably are the definitive Italian westerns, I would have liked to see some other options. Django is a definite must see.

GBU is the definitive spaghetti western. It tot=ally deserves the title. All other sp[aghetti westerns are measured against this movie. It had everything. Clint, Eli and Lee Van Cleef – the three bad asses of bad assery. I missed this vote and I’m sorry I didn’t get to add my vote to the masses, but GBU won anyway.

Though I do give a solitary vote for My Name Is Nobody. Do they have an award for spagetthi with comedy?

Yeah, Eli Wallach is probably the best part of GBU for me, and that’s borderline blasphemy considering that Clint is involved.

Never even heard of My Name is Nobody, but then again, looks like I’m missing out on a lot of these non-Leone Spaghetti Westerns.

Man! If I’d have got here sooner I’d have voted for Once Upon a Time in the West. Not that’d have made much difference.

I mean it’s pretty much flawless, has Claudia Cardinale doing a fine impression of a stone cold fox and Bronson as Harmonica…

Dude, if more people had seen that movie, they’d be on the same bandwagon. All about Bronson and Fonda for me.

I missed this poll…my vote too would have definitely gone to Once Upon A Time In The West! Not only the best WESTERN but one of the finest fucking films ever made if you ask me.

Can’t deny The Good The Bad and The Ugly its awesomeness however. Being that bad-ass is just sexy.

Hahaha. Right there with ya’. But, yeah, nothing wrong with GBU taking the win either.
