And the worst dad is…

October 30, 2010

JACK TORRANCE!

Yeah, I wouldn’t want to be trapped in a haunted hotel with his ass either. But, man, go and watch Natural Born Killers. You ain’t seen bad parenting ’til you’ve seen Rodney Dangerfield behind the wheel. Would not want to play golf with that guy.

All the same, solid voting all around.

RESULTS
– Wacko Jacko: 16 votes
– Vader: 7 votes (he comes around)
– Ed Wilson from Natural Born Killers: 4 votes
– Bill Maplewood from Happiness: 3 votes (whoof)
– Mr. Perry from The Dead Poets Society: 3 votes (what an asshole)
– Jerry Blake from The Stepfather (the original): 2 votes (John Locke in the house)
– Keyser Soze: 1 vote (I think he’s the only one here who actually offed his kids, so that definitely counts for something)
– Dwight Hansen from This Boy’s Life: 1 vote (never seen it, hear he’s a bastard though)
– Col. Frank Fitts from American Beauty: 1 vote (that guy had some issues)
– Other: 1 vote for Peter McAllister from Home Alone (easier to pin that one on the mom, but this idiot is still very much to blame), 1 vote for Freddy Krueger from Freddy’s Dead (who the hell had sex with him?), and 1 vote for Denethor from The Lord of the Rings (yeah, he was a fuckin’ nut).

Well, be thankful, folks. At least you’re not on your dad’s hit list.

Agree with this poll because I am one of the voters 🙂
Torrance is really crazy. Thumbs up for Jack Nicholson eventhough I hate the movie (Blame it on Stephen King for making an awesome book and made me imagine the same awesomeness on the movie but didn’t get it)

Shit, no I really have to read the book that’s been staring me in the face for years now. Usually hear that King’s book is the inferior of the two, but whatever, I’m a bigger fan of King than I am of Kubrick.

As both bookworm and moviebuff…trust me, I never seen a movie that is better than the book…it’s either equally great or worse.

If you are King’s fan (like me) wait for Under The Dome miniseries, the book is amazing (so far, I’ve reached page 755, still another 319 pages to go)…I hope the miniseries will be amazing too.

Still need to read The Stand first. And what about Fight Club? Think the movie’s got the upper hand there.

I need to see the stand, haven’t found the movie yet.

I haven’t read fight club yet. So I can’t tell anything about it yet

Sorry I missed this poll. I would have added Daniel Plainview in “There Will Be Blood”.

    • October 30, 2010 11:57 pm

Jesus H Murphy. I had Plainview on there, then my computer spazzed out and I had to redo the poll, only now do I remember that I forgot him. FML, you had a winner right there. What a fuckin’ bad parent.

Haha…poor little Danny boy (and Tony)!

    • November 1, 2010 12:56 pm

Danny should be thanking his lucky stars in comparison to Tony.

Can’t remember which one I voted for, I know it wasn’t Vader as he did regret things in the end. Haven’t seen The Shinning but judging from the photos from the movie, no doubt this guy takes the cake.

Yeah, he’s a pretty awful father. But idk, I have a hard time believing he’s the worst of all these fools.

Drop that knowledge!
