Cut The Crap Movie Reviews 
I’m a big fan of Hoffman: I really like him in Doubt, Capote and in Synedoche New York althought these are probably the obvious Hoffman roles!
And Edward Norton is coming back in a new film which I think is called Stone. He’s acting alongside Robert DeNiro, and Norton looks like he’s reprised his role from American History X (even though he hasn’t. But I think he has a similar “look” if you know what I mean)

Well, I guess it’s not his biggest role, but I always really liked him in “The Talented Mr. Ripley”. He has that amazing sleazy upper-class vibe about him; he does that so well. But he is fantastic in everything.

Hoffman‘s best role? I loved him in the “The Savages”.
Man, I feel like the only person who really didn’t like that movie. Need to give it another shot I guess. But he was good, that I’ll give ya’.
What can’t Seymour-Hoffman do? Compare his performances in PT Anderson’s flicks — Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love — to one another. All amazing, all incredibly different performances.
But, c’mon. How did Clooney only get five votes?
Man, I need to see all three of those again, so awesome. Pretty surprised by the low turnout for Clooney, too. But if he was still doing the uber-cool Out of Sight/Three Kings shtick, I think he’d get more.
Hoffman’s best role has to be as Dusty in the true story movie, Twister.

YES! I love that you linked to the Matress Man. That might be his best role. But after that, it is definitely in Almost Famous.
hahaha. Lester Bangs kicked ass, but the Mattress Man is fucking AWESOME. “SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT SHUT SHUT SHUT SHUT UP!” That showdown at the end with Sandler was effing wild.

Yeah, he was pretty wild in that. The scene with him in the car just yelling at Marisa Tomei and breaking down after the service for his mother, that was no joke.
