Hell to the yeah, folks! My favorite entry in the series, glad to see it’s yours, too.

RESULTS:
Episode I: The Phantom Menace: 0 votes (agreed)
Episode II: Attack of the Clones: 1 vote (…okay?)
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith: 2 votes (best of the new trilogy)
Episode IV: A New Hope: 9 votes
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back: 18 votes
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi: 3 votes

I think a marathon is in order…

I have to admit, for the many, many flaws of episode 1 there are two specific reasons why it should be held a little higher than people say:

    1. Darth Maul. Not in ANY other ones, but an amazing character. Though no Vader, he can sure carry the pre-cursor Darth. More importantly, the double edged light-saber fight: Flawless. Better than Yoda bouncing off of the walls or you-are-too-old-to-fight sequence with Christopher Lee.

    2. Qui Gon Jin. Probably not how its spelt, but alas, im no Star Wars geek. Nevertheless, again, only in Episode 1 and any film with Liam Neeson as some trainer-of-heroes (see Batman Begins) is always impressive.

Episode 2 is the worst. It really has nothing that isn’t seen at some point in the others.

I’ll give you that, the final fight scene is quite kickass, definitely one of the best in the franchise, and Liam Neeson is always solid, but man, that movie blew. So does Episode II and that whiney, annoying bastard Hayden Christensen. Can’t say there’s too many redeeming qualities about either, but yeah, Darth Maul was sweet.
