Thought it was gonna go to Breakfast Club, but hey, who doesn’t love Ferris Bueller. If skipping school was always this awesome, I would have dropped out in a heartbeat.
Well played, dear readers.

How can you knock the movie that gave us Ben Stein? Rhetorical question. It’s impossible.

Ferris is a great film but I’ve always leaned towards Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Weird Science, when it comes to his teenager comedy-dramas. Of those, it’s Breakfast Club or that other classic of the 1980s Planes, Trains and Automobiles for his best film. Hughes was a particularly good screenwriter and his work is greatly missed. Thankfully, we have this fantastic pool of work to watch and watch again.
Well put, man. I’m right there with ya on Breakfast Club. That one was my vote.
