Zeroes (2007)

August 6, 2009

VERDICT:
10/10 Good Times

Consider this my shameless plug of the year.

Made this movie with my friends for a film class I took back in college. It’s not perfect, but come on, like you wouldn’t give your own movie a 10 out of 10.

Zeroes is about six college roommates that all have various unique superpowers. After one of the roommates becomes seemingly over-reliant on his powers, his roommates make a bet to see which of the group can go the longest without using their powers, and the rest is history.

It’s kind of like the legendary Seinfeld episode, “The Contest”, only not as legendary and with more beer, more cursing, and replacing nerd fantasies with sexual frustration.

You can check it out over there on the right toolbar above the “5 most recent comments” thing, but if that doesn’t work due to my limited knowledge of managing a blog, then you can watch it here.

It’s probably NSFW because college kids swear a lot, but who cares, I’m sure your boss will love it. He’ll probably even give you a raise.

Anyway, I feel kinda weird about reviewing my own movie, so I’ll just leave it at that. Enjoy!

    ‘heres your f***in mayonnaise!!’
nothing wrong with a shameless plug Aiden R. youre wrong about the mark for the movie though, its definitely a 9 out of 10 – ive taken a mark off for the swearing (Do you have to use so many cuss words?) nice to hear ‘dingleberry’ again, all the same…
the white prison-like walls of your college halls reminds me of my university days.
your vid reminded me of one my mate and his buddies did a few years ago – check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fnd9vlXEe88

Wow I never you you were so humble.

Have you considered starting a Cut The Crap Book review?

    Have fun on vacation.

Lol, thanks Nick. Humility wasn’t really the name of the game here, but glad you’ll be the first to get a signed copy of The Complete Cut The Crap.

Been thinking seriously about getting everyone together maybe sometime next year to do a full-length remake. You of course will be written into the script. Will be requesting your input on it, because, let’s be honest, there probably isn’t enough swearing involved at the moment.

The beer pong sequence was pretty killer. Nice job editing there…

And there I was thinking you gave the movie 10/10 just because you helped make it, when in reality it is the greatest movie ever made.
That super strenght guy must be given his own show, although he loses points for being a Halo camper.
One continuity point: wouldn’t the accuracy guy have already lost the bet prior to the ping pong game thanx to his casual bullseyes?

Haha, thanks man. Appreciate that, and I agree, Sully deserves his 15 minutes. And you are officially the first person to call out that continuity point which I have never before noticed. Well done, but damn, can’t believe I missed that.

Best Movie of the Year! haha

I love the Monty Python reference through Halo. That’s classy.
